Tvinx is a network for production, distribution and reading the news generated by its users from all over the world.
How to fill in data while registering?
For simplicity, a new user who wishes to register should enter only his/her e-mail address and the password. After confirmation of the registration we also recommend filling in the remaining boxes in the column 'Edit the profile'. This especially refers to 'User name' because it is the name which will appear under your news or comments. If you don't enter that box, the number from your registration will appear under your news.
Why enter your mobile phone number?
By entering your mobile phone number you will have an attractive possibility to send news via text messages. When you send such news, the system will recognise your mobile phone number and automatically publish the news with no need to log in. What is more, you are not limited by the number of characters of one text message – it is possible to enter unlimited number of characters* (by sending consecutive text messages). Your mobile phone number is only for automatic logging, it will not be shown or publicly available.
Why choose a time zone?
By entering the right time zone which you are in, the time of the news release from the whole world will be shown below all the news in your local time. Also, the time of entering your own news will be correctly marked.
Why write news in a quality and responsible way?
Quality reporters will be recognised by the users and assessed as excellent reporters. Apart from getting good reputation of socially useful reporters, their news will be preferred to others’ in the hierarchy by the Tvinx algorithm for news release. Such reporters will have the possibility to share profit with Tvinx, realised by showing BrandAd advertisements.
Why assess carefully the quality of the reporter?
By responsibly assessing the quality and credibility of the reporters, the users themselves contribute to the quality of the news which will be shown to them. Quality news means a better Informed individual and, connected to that, a better life quality.
Who can enter the news?
Every person with a computer, mobile phone or other device connected to the Internet becomes a reporter who informs the world about the events in his/her suburb, city, country or continent.
How to enter the news?
To enter the news one has to register and then log on the portal. After logging click on the link 'Write news'. Choose a type of news (good or bad news), column, language in which you are writing the news, the geolocation of the news (location to which the news refers), enter the headline, the text of the news and finally choose the accessories (link, video or picture).
What is the geolocation of the news and how to use it?
Every news is divided into five groups/according to the width of the geolocation. The widest geolocation is 'the world', then 'the continent', 'the country', 'the city', and finally 'the suburb', which is the narrowest geolocation. The choice of the geolocation starts from the widest (the world), and it can be narrowed down according to one’s wish to the level of the 'suburb'.
For example, a British reporter who wishes to write about the ozone hole problem over Europe is going to choose the geolocation: continent>Europe. But if he wishes to write about the opening of a new restaurant in London, he will choose: continent>Europe, country>Great Britain, city>London. However, if he wants to inform the public about a charity action in the London suburb Greenwich, he will enter the following geolocation of the news: continent>Europe, country>Great Britain, city>London, suburb>Greenwich.
In which language is it possible to release the news?
In all the available languages. By default the system will offer you the local language for the release, but choosing any other language is also possible. The news will be shown only to the users who choose the news in that language.

What is the meaning of the link 'I like it/I don’t like it' under every news?
By clicking on 'I like it' or 'I don’t like it', a registered user assesses the credibility or quality of the reporter who has released the news. The users collectively assess the quality of writing of certain reporters, and Tvinx algorithm for news release prefers in the hierarchy the news by better assessed reporters. The aim is to have every reporter tagged with one of the categories by general voting. Later you will be able to filter the news according to the type of a reporter, e.g. to show just the news entered by political reporters and not show the news entered by reporters tagged as 'copiers' etc.

For instance, by choosing Europe>Great Britain all the news tagged as the news from Great Britain will be shown. But if the option 'Show lower rank' is on, all the news from any British city and suburb will appear because such locations in the hierarchy are lower rank than the location Great Britain.
